CLEAN AND GREEN PROGRAM

The purpose of Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Inc.’s Clean and Green Program is to raise public awareness of litter; promote a citizen/business volunteer program for litter reduction and provide a base for prevention education. A major component of this program is the following program for businesses.

CLEAN AND GREEN COMMUNITY PARTNER PROGRAM

This program is specially design for businesses to join in a Community Partner Program for the reduction of litter and the improvement of their community.  Businesses are recruited to join in the program by signing a two year agreement to the following:

1.   Assure that all dumpster lids are kept closed, when not in use
2.   Provide and maintain trash and cigarette butt receptacles at or near public
      entrance ways, when practical.
3.   Remove all litter and trash from their business properties and adjacent areas as
      necessary to maintain an overall litter free area. 
4.   Maintain a record of hours spent and estimated litter removed and submit a quarterly                   
      report to KPB or use KPB “on line” Reporting. 
5.   Remove improper discarded cigarettes butts from their property at least once a week
6.   Participate in some sort of recycling program (paper, cardboard, cans, plastic), if
      possible.
7.   Display on the business structure a quarterly “Litter Awareness” posters provided by
      KPB in view of our customers.

Benefits:

KPB will supply Clean and Green Community Partners with 2 ea C & G Decals, semi annual Litter Awareness Posters (2 sided, laminated, 8,5 x 11 in), a program placarded litter collection pail, a formal Agreement Folder and posting of Company’s name as a participate on our web site.
